Photography is my passion.

Im not sure if its normal, but I get such a buzz out of taking photos, especially when I capture something special… a glance, a cheeky grin, an arty angle…. I love it!

Photographing Melissa and Tnee’s wedding was an amazing experience for me. To be involved in their special day meant a lot to me, and I hope that the images I captured on their wedding day, does justice to the memories they all left us with. A beautiful day, filled with love, and hope and happiness.

I have been developing my own unique wedding albums, designed to tell a story of the wedding day. Each page designed to bring out the best in the photos. All the photos were enhanced for print.

I have sourced an album supplier from Sydney, whom I met with a few months ago. A lovely fellow, with a passion for his work.

Love the Brisbane Jazz Club (BJC)

Its been almost 12 months since I joined the committee at the Brisbane Jazz Club. I seem to have taken quite a few photos in that time, and hence decided I would put a little slideshow together, so that people who have never visited the BJC, can have a sneak peak inside!

I have loved every minute of my time at the BJC. The music and musicians are fantastic, the wonderful staff, volunteers and fellow committee members >> all inspirational and committed to the love of jazz!

I dont think its possible to love my job more than I already do!

Brisbane Festival 2010 – West End Live

West End Live – Sunday 19 Sept 2010
Boundary Street was transformed into a fun and funky street festival! Full of cool music, food and quirkyness! If you missed it, here is a glimpse of what happened! Live music on 2 stages, all day! Impromptu performances, exhibitions, dancing, bmx trick riding, hoola-hooping….. and impressive artistic installations by A Close Knit (West End State School, and West End Community House Participants).

Look out for a most interesting crafty installation at this years Brisbane Festival! Donna Toussaint is the mastermind behind this creative project, which involved 612 ABC radio listeners donating an A4 sized piece of knitting, to contribute to the porta-cosy! [Anna Bligh contributed the first rectangle pictured below!]
Make sure you get a photo of yourself on the loo!!

Spiegeltent – Jazz on Sundays – Chris Poulsen Trio

As a huge jazz fan, I was soooo looking forward to seeing and hearing the Chris Poulsen Trio play at the Spiegeltent! I was not disappointed! They were fantastic! Jeremy O’Connor was mezzmerising on the double bass,Trent Bryson-Dean was amazing on the drums, and Chris, as always, utter awesomeness on the keys! Becomming a seriously monumental fan!

Mish Photography captured some stunning photographs of jazz crooner, Vince Jones. He and his band entertained the Brisbane locals before Miguel took to the stage. Capturing photos, when the use of flash is restricted, can be tricky, but with some fine adjustments to aperture and shutter speeds, along with a very nice camera, anything is possible!

It was truly a pleasure to photograph the stunning young ladies and gentlemen from Brisbane State High School! They all looked the part, and their arrival at the formal, at Brisbanes Hilton, did not go un-noticed! What an entrance!

Mish Photography will be taking photographs of some of Brisbane State High Schools year 12 students!

Its that time of year again…. students are in the middle of cramming for exams, but they have something special to look forward to! Their school formal at the Hilton, Brisbane! It will be lovely to see them transform from stressed out students, into beautiful young ladies and handsome young men – as they toss aside their school uniforms for a day, and show their parents, friends and school community what they’re made of!
